The last two songs for the week are of the mellow persuasion.
82. THE LIFE IS THE RED WAGON-JANE SIBERRY (1989)
Album: Bound By The Beauty
This is very similar in style to early Joni Mitchell, a fellow Canadian. The melody, in keeping with the imagery of the title, is childlike in
tone. The lyrics equate life with that red wagon, in which we roll along, sometimes supporting others, sometimes leaning on
others for support. Very pretty.
81. SONG FOR YOU FAR AWAY-JAMES TAYLOR (1985)
Album: That's Why I'm Here
Another gentle ballad from good ol' JT. Not too many are familiar with this one, however, which is too bad, it's a really
nice song.
