92. TUPELO HONEY-VAN MORRISON (1971)
Album:Tupelo Honey
This is one of Van the Man's greatest studio performances, in my opinion. I feel every bit of the warmth and passion in
the lyrics when he goes to work on this song. Any doubt that he is one of the greatest to ever step behind a microphone
should be put to rest here. Guys, listening to this should make you want to snuggle up to your loved one and show your
appreciation. Youtube not available on this one, here's a link to te audio. Click on the arrow in the center of the album

91. BABA O'RILEY-THE WHO (1971)
Album: Who's Next
The opening track to one of the greatest albums ever (yeah, I s'pose that statement should've carried a spoiler alert), there
aren't many who aren't familiar with this track..although a good many probably still think its title is "Teenage Wasteland".
The opening synth is instantly recognizable, as we all wait for Keith Moon's drums to kick in, in that unique Keith Moon way.
Roger Daltrey's voice is in its prime, with Townshend adding his valuable two cents on the bridge. Add the crazed violin in
the latter stages, and the classic track is complete.
The countdown picks up again on Monday.

Love both of these choices!
I was thrilled to hear "Tupelo Honey" over the closing credits of "Ulee's Gold," with Peter Fonda, about a beekeeper. It's a very slow movie with the message that we need to put in the work. Just that.
