The Boney 500: Album #57

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Thu Oct 06, 2016 10:14 am

57. THE CAPTAIN AND ME-THE DOOBIE BROTHERS (1973)

A perfect blend of rockers ("Without You", the classics "China Grove" and "Long Train Running") and acoustic numbers (the
fascinating "Clear As The Driven Snow" and the pretty "South City Midnight Lady"). There's even some synthesizers for a little
texture ("Natural Thing").

Another 8-track special! I'm pretty sure every start-up band in the 70s learned to play China Grove (or at least tried).

Great album and I'm happy to see it on your list.
