71. HEAVEN TONIGHT-CHEAP TRICK (1978)

Any album that has an opening salvo like "Surrender", "On Top Of The World", and "California Man" (all 3 were longtime staples
of our band's setlist) is pretty much guaranteed to be on my list of favorites, unless the rest of the album features seven
variations on the Macarena. Such is certainly not the case here, though, as there's a lot more good stuff to be heard on this
record, which is a textbook example of Power Pop. Sweet melodies and loud chords. Yes!
