Last one for the week. I'll be working on a post that will keep a running list of all the entries as they are revealed, updating every weekend.
86. KATY LIED-STEELY DAN (1975)
More great jazz-infused rock from what was now a duo. Michael McDonald was a backup vocalist on this album, and regardless
of your feelings about him, I am of the opinion that his work here is stellar. Some great Dan album classics here like
"Doctor Wu" and "Bad Sneakers", and a personal favorite of mine, "Chain Lightning" (with a pretty cool guitar solo by Rick
Derringer).

Another great album that would rank high on my list (if I had one).
The horns on Doctor Wu are so good and back when "cranking it up to show off your stereo" was a thing, Chain Lightning would be one of the go-to songs.

Chain Lightning is always over too soon. I could definitely stand to hear a couple more minutes of soloing...they are just getting warmed up and it's over. Love the song, though.
