The Boney 500: Album #117

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Thu Jul 14, 2016 10:02 am

Here's today's album entry. Although it COULD be considered a song entry, actually...

117. THICK AS A BRICK-JETHRO TULL (1972)

It is really one song, originally spread across two sides of the album..made up of several musical themes.
There are moments that wander, but there's more than enough good stuff to make up for them. These days, in
the digital age, you can purchase tracks in bite-size portions, but to me that defeats the purpose..the album
was meant to be listened to in its entirety.

I loved that this band and Marshall Tucker Band made flutes a mainstay of their arrangements.
