Here's today's trio of tunes:
257. THE END OF THE INNOCENCE-DON HENLEY (1989)
Album: The End Of The Innocence
Co-written with Bruce Hornsby (who also plays piano on the track), it manages
to represent the best qualities of both artists. The melody summons up a mood
that's weary, wistful and bitterweet all at the same time. I also love the lyrics.
256. I TALK TO THE WIND-KING CRIMSON (1969)
Album: In The Court Of The Crimson King
Woodwinds and a beautifully understated Greg Lake vocal carry this quiet whisper of
a song. The only youtube videos I could find were live renditions, so I have
provided this link to the studio version posted elsewhere.

255. SO IN TO YOU-ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION (1976)
Album: A Rock And Roll Alternative
The band hits a nice slick groove and come up with a little Southern-fried
soul. A great radio record that also sounds pretty good on a stereo.
