Three more for today..all 3 artists today are not exactly obscure...
311. OH MY LOVE-JOHN LENNON (1971)
Album: Imagine
Those who see McCartney as the wide-eyed romantic and Lennon as the cynical pushing
the envelope innovator have wrongly pigeonholed them. Both were quite capable of
filling the other role. Evidence regarding John's sensitive side is presented here. A
simple, hushed, lovely track.
310. SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED (I'm Yours)-STEVIE WONDER (1970)
Album: Signed, Sealed & Delivered
Classic Motown. There have been a number of decent cover versions, but none
can touch the original in my opinion.
309. BITCH-THE ROLLING STONES (1971)
Album: Sticky Fingers
Typically lowdown and dirty Keith Richards guitar riff with hefty blasts of horns
punching through as they hit a groove and they don't let up. All that's best about
the Stones.
