Virginia-based author, writer and creator of The Waltons and Falcon Crest. He also did the screenplay adaptation of E. B. White's Charlotte's Web for Hanna-Barbera, and several episodes of the original Twilight Zone, usually the rural-based ones such as "Jezebel." Age 92.
