Re: RIP Iron Mike
Sharpe was mostly a "jobber", a guy used to make the star he opposed look good. He usually played the bad guy role, giving the good guys like Hulk Hogan a little bit of a rough time before ultimately falling to the hero. The business needs guys like that who are good at making the OTHER guy look good. Wouldn't work so well if he were as incompetent as he seems. Both participants need to dance well together to make it work properly.

Re: RIP Iron Mike
Sharpe had a gimmick, the brace he wore on his wrist that he claimed he needed for medical reasons but which naturally held the infamous "foreign object" that everyone except the referees and some of his opponents knew was there. It was the type of gimmick that was good enough to win TV matches when he'd be pitted against complete losers but would usually backfire on him when he tried to use it in a match against a name opponent.T_Bone0806 wrote:Sharpe was mostly a "jobber", a guy used to make the star he opposed look good.
