This game was especially fun, because the kids and parents know each other on both sides. Plus we lost to them last year-so we got that back
As described in the article-Nathan's nickname on the team is "Sniper"-Never more apt than it was tonight. He is most known to the fans for his 3-pt shooting. The joke is that when he gets to shoot a free throw(not very often) he should take it from the 3-pt line. He doesn't get a lot of points-but they are usually clutch.
Coach has commented to me that he most likes Nathan for his defense. He does a lot of little things on "D" that, if you don't really know basketball (Guilty)-you won't know that he does them.
His big weakness in the game is that he can't drive in for layups-it just doesn't work for him.

Re: Kid Brag-"Sniper"
I was laughing after the game-"Hey, I didn't lie to the opposing coach."
This spring/summer-Nathan played AAU ball and one of the Brandon-Evansville players was on the team. His coach was at several AAU games to watch, so I got to know him a little bit.
Earlier this year, that coach was scouting us in a game where Nathan hit 4 "3's". He also was at a later game and when we spoke he asked if Nathan was hitting that many in other games-I said" Not really, he has only been usually hitting one or 2."-Which was/is true-he only hit a couple last night. They were just kind of big ones.
What I am most proud of in L'il Spock's basketball career is that he has done this on his own. The very few times that I have shot baskets/played catch with him I absolutely hated it and couldn't stop soon enough. Simply not my parenting style.
