The best at brightest at Facebook

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sun Dec 20, 2015 4:51 pm

Just suggested I might know my Ex-wife
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

These are the same people who can't figure out how to turn their like thumb upside down and add a counter. Months ago, they said they are "working" on it.

You really expect anything out of them?

That sounds like PR speak for, "We aren't adding it because it would be used against the corporate brands and celebrities that help us make money."

PR Speak would be more along the BS lines of:

"while many users have expressed the desire for a unlike button, we would LIKE Facebook to be a positive and uplifting experience for all involved"
