RIP Cory Wells

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Wed Oct 21, 2015 5:27 pm

One of the three lead singers in Three Dog Night. His was the more gravelly voice of the three, taking the lead on hits like "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "Eli's Coming", "Never Been To Spain", and "Shambala".

Excellent Top 40 radio tunes, but they made some good albums, too. AND they gave exposure to then-mostly unknown songwriters like Elton John, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, and a boatload of others.

One of my favorites too. We saw them in concert in 2006.
