This past February was the completion of my 25th year working for the provincial government. Once you reach 25 years, you are treated to a full formal dinner at Government House, here in Victoria, and presented with Long Service Awards. It is the same level of dinner that they serve for visiting heads of state
James, as of now, has the night off and will be joining me as my guest. The awards are presented by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and it is a much anticipated 'do'.
Open bar, dinner, and transportation are all included.
I have Thursday off LOL

Dang! They do it up right. I know I don't have to say this, but enjoy being Queen for the day.

Congratulations, Saucy!
I think you should have told this group that the government was honoring you for being the First International Champeen of the fantasy baseball league and posted a couple of photos from the event to prove the level of the celebration.

Congratulations! I've been working for the Federal government for over 30 years and all I have to show for it is a certificate.

I've been working for Mrs. SSS for more than 25 years now and I never get a dinner that fancy.

That sounds great!
On my 15th anniversary at my longtime job I got a certificate. This was a place where my work was often praised, but it was also around that time that they were about to change computer systems, and they suddenly started treating me like dirt. They were setting me up to fire me when they no longer needed me, but I was so miserable there that I had to quit. I deliberately left the certificate there.

Based on a few other typos, I wonder if that's supposed to read "waiter chaser."

I'm thinking that is a typo? Was it supposed to be chick breast? Never had one pan seared, but I do like them.
Looks like you had a great time. I hope James drove home.
