Today's observation is quoted with our thanks to Frank Tangredi from a post of October 27, 2010.

This Congregationalist preacher was a vocal supporter of abolition, temperance, women’s suffrage, the theory of evolution, and Chinese immigration – but he stopped short of organized labor.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
