Babysat for the babe last night

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Mon Jun 08, 2015 3:56 pm

Kids attended a wedding of one of their neighborhood friends. 25 years of knowing. That is cool. We woulda gone but the babe is still small and it was HOT. Stayed up til 1 am. Starting to hallucinate.

Shut up.

She is such a peach.
Well, then

That is horrifying. I raised three boys, and never experienced any such hell. There was a baby powder incident, and markers ("we're tigers, mommy"), but none of that, thank God.

We had some floaties in the bathtub but that was it. It was always Emily. It will be told at her wedding.

Are you saying her parents were the pits? That's rather harsh.

You people. I mean. The peach's dad did vomit red robitussin, during a strep/sinus blowout, down the offwhite carpeted stairs back in the day...

A kid of a friend of my sister's had a marker incident in sister's apartment. Since this was in Germany, & since there's really no way to completely remove marker from linoleum, & since this was Germany where they expect you to leave apartment in condition you rented it in, with all wear removed by you or them, & at their price if they do it, & since the people who owned the complex had stockpiled replacement matching linoleum for just such incidents, sister who spent 2 weeks repainting & window cleaning etc had to pay for replacement linoleum, which was not cheap.

The owners' inspection & fix-it people liked the paint & window cleaning job, though. Then they did it again themselves. Because this was Germany.

She didn't have to pay for it, though, because they had liked it. Just not enough to actually rent apt out again until they redid it.

I'm married to a German. I get it.
