They keep everything you search for in Google <---this is a URL hyperlink
Over the weekend, an unofficial Google blog highlighted a new feature that the Internet giant had quietly rolled out to let people download their entire Google search histories.
To find everything they’ve ever searched for, users should go to Google Web History, click the gear icon and click “Download.”
The archive won’t work for people who have altered their privacy settings, and only records searches that occurred while logged in to Google, such as through Gmail.
Yes. And you thought it was free, and you were cool to have a gmail address.

If you're not doing anything illegal, then you have nothing to worry about while using Google and Gmail.

So alter your privacy settings!

I have actually seen advice to jobseekers that they will have a better chance of getting interviews if they have a Gmail address instead of a Hotmail address. Is Gmail better than Hotmail, or is it just newer? This is yet another example of how utterly ridiculous the hiring process has become.

To me they are equal. However, I will look at the name. If it is "
Whosurdaddy@gmail.com" vs. "
Jim.Roberston81@hotmail.com" I'm hiring Jim vs. the other, all other things being equal. Of course, if Whosurdaddy sends his resume in using that address I would likely not even read it. Just the way it is. If you can't be professional trying to get hired how could I expect you to be professional after I've hired you?

That is true. I'm not saying you would do this, but I would also bet that with most employers "
Jim.Robertson81@hotmail.com" would have a better chance than, say, "
Jim.Robertson57@hotmail.com" because they would assume the number is the year he was born.

It's probably a good thing Dick Trickle never applied to you for a job....
