Congratulations to the Duke Blue Devils.

“You just have to be able to handle all the hands and the checking. There was more body contact in this game than any game we’ve played all year, and I just feel sorry for my guys that all of a sudden a game was like that. I think they had a… they’re struggling with that a little bit. We missed some opportunities, they hit some tough shots, but you know — it’s just a shame that it had to be played that way.”
Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan politely says the refs sucked

Why pick Duke when you can whiff on all four Final Four teams and take home last place by a mile....?

Them sucking helped his team get past Kentucky so i wouldn't complain too loudly.

What drives me crazy with basketball, though, and why I can't watch it for more than a few minutes at a time, is the fact that traveling happens all the time- has for years.

God it drives me batty that you can take 4-5 steps to the hoop as long as it "looks like" you're elevating for a shot.

Amen. There was a blocking foul at the end of the game last night, against Duke, but the Wisconsin player took 3 steps before he made contact, and the ball never left his hand.

What I can't stand about basketball is the foul fest at the end of almost every single game. It pretty much comes down to a game of horse (shooting free throws) to save the clock. I wish a fouled team could choose between in-bounding the ball or shoot free throws, sort of like in football where the offended team can decline the penalty.

An offending team should not benefit from a foul. A team should not find it advantageous to break the rules of a game, no matter the sport. It is stupid.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
