I normally respond to RIPs with "s/he was still alive!?!?"... but for this Not RIP, my only response is, "I thought he was older than that...."

Maybe he lied about his age? (I know Desi Arnez did...)

He's one of those actors who has always looked (and acted) older than he really is. This is how he looked forty years ago on Barney Miller:

when he was the same age George Clooney is now.

Same goes for our friend Wilford Brimley. He was only 51 when he played a senior citizen in Cocoon

Tom Cruise is older now.

I always found it interesting at the old-format BAM auditions - the ones where everyone at one point would be up in front for the mock quiz part. The first thing they would do is have everyone hold up the cardboard sign they had made with each persons 'Millionaire" number. As it was made from M/D/Y of birthday plus the last four SS #'s, it was easy to tell everyone's age.

I remember that there were a lot of guys in their late 30's and early forties who looked like they were pushing 60.

Hell, he looked old in 1969!

FWIW, the character he was playing was 89 years old. :P

Oh yeah, Abe Vigoda was old even when he was young!

He was on our "Older Than Mom" poster we made for Mom's 90th b-day party last April. Still older than Mom!

Ha, now I'm not sure what it is! Might just be flash-glare on a shiny picture?

I will have to ask Eileen or Ro (Rmadilo) if either of them have the original & what was all over Kissinger!

Now that I look at it, I'm trying to remember who the woman next to Henry is! Her name's obscured by the strange glare/white powder, & I don't recognize the face. I don't see anyone on http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.nsf/pages-nf/main that fits her age & appearance. The poster's from last April (Mom's 90th) so the lady's probably 91 now.

Anybody want to try your hand at identifying her before I ask my siblings and post the answer? 8)

The lady next to Henry Kissinger is Gloria Vanderbilt. I should have figured that out - considering how much she looks like her very famous son!
