Happy New Year!

Since I probably won't be awake at midnight, let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year.

Thanks! I hope you have a great one.

It's shaping up to be an early evening for us, as well. I am very much okay with that. Happy New Year!

I have to go to a party. :( I would much prefer to sit at home, watch a movie, drink a little, and get a really good night's sleep.

No better way to ring in the new year than watching Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl.

Happy New Year everyone.

Just finished watching the NY Philharmonic's all-Gershwin concert on PBS.

Boonie asleep on the recliner. Playing along with Temple in the OT win against Connecticut was just too much for him, I am thinking. :)

Actually, we did a lot of cleanup work today while the game was on. TLAF is going to spend the rest of her life in the skilled nursing side of her facility. So, a couple of weeks ago, we cleaned out her "bachelor girl apartment" in assisted living. The bed, nightstand, microwave and stand, and recliner are all going to a formerly homeless person Greg (Boonie's brother) knows through Philabundance. A fresh start for 2015.

Now, I'll crack open the pink champagne now for Michael Feinstein's special from The Rainbow Room on PBS. Then, watch the Philly fireworks on TV and off to bed.

Pink champagne as a salute to Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr in An Affair To Remember, one of TLAF's favorite movies, if not her VERY favorite.

To all of you, best wishes for a wonderful 2015.

Happy New Year everyone.
Georgia Tech 49
Mississippi State 34

Eleven wins, an Orange Bowl championship over a team from the vaunted SEC West that was ranked Number One in the country for a month, and a top ten national finish in a year they were picked to finish sixth ...

... out of seven teams in their division.

The year can't get off to a better start than that.

And for Appa, I've got a new highlight so I won't have to keep trotting out footage of William Bell going through Nebraska's defense any more:

I don't know if this varies by time zone, but I see a SportsFan68 post a couple hours before yours. But Happy New Year anyway!

The sentimental part of me is happy to see that the concept of Bored Time (We were locked into PST/PDT on the Go Bored) is still alive and well....

In bed around 10:30 PM as usual, awakened at 11:30 PM by a cat about to barf on the bed between us. Grabbed her and tossed her from the bed, then had to fend off the dog who wanted his "treat" while I tried to clean it up. Wonderful end to 2014.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
