Bored Re-Update This Weekend

#1 Post by tubadave » Fri Nov 14, 2014 3:05 pm

Be advised that I will be taking the Bored offline again this weekend to re-do the same update that I started late Wednesday night. Despite the fact that everything is working at the moment, I'm not sure that the update was completed, and the version number I'm seeing in our Admin control panel doesn't match.

I'm not sure when I'll do it, but I'll either keep it to late at night, or warn everyone first.

Thanks for your patience, folks. 8)

I'm gonna do my hair and nails this weekend anyway.

Thanks for taking care of the maintenance.

Then I might as well get a Saturday post in while I have the chance. --Bob

I have not had any Weyoun PMs in a while. Now I just got one from Ulysses. Who's next?

I noticed it right away because in the past, I've been able to get into chat when I couldn't get into the Bored. Not this time.

I didn't mention it because I didn't want to pile on ONE MORE THING.

You think I went a week without checking the chatroom? You know I always gotta hear how much you enjoyed the Thursday comic...

I meant that chat was one of the things that didn't come back up when the Bored did....

And I'm sure you meant to reference this guy instead of this guy....

That's what I meant too.

As for the comic -- way cool!

Except for boiling Buster in oil, of course.

Thanks Dave!
I only received a couple of emails about PMs. One of them actually did reference PMs that were in my mailbox, albeit from a year and a half ago.

One more glitch I just found.... if you try to quote a post that already has three embedded quotes, the Bored no longer automatically filters out the oldest one to meet the three quote maximum... giving an error message instead that you can't have more than 3 embedded quotes in a post....

This is a new one. When I depart the Bored (using Google Chrome), even though I don't close the browser window, I'm automatically being logged out and have to log back in. It's happened twice now today. --Bob
