I think we might be back again.

#1 Post by tubadave » Fri Nov 14, 2014 11:04 am

After restoring a config file that had somehow been completely wiped out in the upgrade, and then re-running the installation manually myself, I think we're back.

I was able to log in and post this, at least, and I hadn't been able to log in this morning at all prior to now.

Just testing. I was shut out, and I can post again.

Thank you, Dave.

But it's progress!

Yeah, I've known about that one, and it's on the to-do list for the weekend. I really have no idea what's causing it.

I am a happy camper [cough]the index to the member list does not work. [/cough] and thanks for all you do.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Yay! I'm in!

Thanks for the fix. A lot.

Thanks.

Turns out I am "theme subsilver". I don't want to change. To quote someone (& not someone here, either) "you don't like change". But one of the messages I could read through that week or so I couldn't post, or maybe a message on facbook's BoredArk said that chosing another theme would have cured my woes. Is this true? I never chose subsilver; I think its my default.

Testing...
Thanks Dave!
Now I'll double check that I can log on as the transcript team and soon get to transcribing.
