Busy with harvest here

#1 Post by Spock » Mon Oct 13, 2014 6:01 pm

It has been a busy couple of weeks with harvest and all. Fortunately, we have had nice weather and we finished the soybeans.

Hopefully, start corn tomorrow.

L'il Spock (16YO) has been running the combine some by himself-which is pretty cool.

We were also fortunate a few weeks ago-He rolled a pickup (3 times), but both he and friend were wearing belts and walked away from it.

Basically, inexperienced driver on gravel roads.

Yikes! I'm glad L'il Spock and his friend took their seat belts seriously.

My son and I used to have a code to remind each other if we needed to buckle up -- "58", the number worn at Kansas City by former Alabama defender Derrick Thomas. It was probably more effective than the dang beep from the car.

I suggest you not drive at 100 MPH on ice and snow in addition to wearing your seat belts. :(

Glad the harvest is going well.

I, too, am glad my little (not so little :( ) boyfriend and his buddy took their seatbelts seriously.
