My first thought was it was "Bau-Wau", since I've heard of the "Mau-Mau", but they're in Africa. I'll JTQ.

She really struggled with this one, and at one point mentioned that she thought the religion was "Islam", not "Nation of Islam". Scientology started in the 50s; I'm not sure about the others but I know that Mormonism started in the 1830s so it has to be the right answer.

Yes, I thought it was a mean question.

Wikipedia says the Nation of Islam was founded in 1930, just seven years after the original Ten Commandments movie. The Wikipedia article barely mentions the name "Black Muslim," but that was the most common name for the religion that I remember.

Wow! I wasn't aware of Nation of Islam until the 60s. I'd read about Elijah Muhammed & was aware of Malcolm X in the 60s. I had no idea the religion was that old. I was not alive at the time it was founded.
