Anyone in the Santa Ana area?

My soon-to-be-employer must really like me. I got an e-mail today asking if I could go with the boss to a major two-day training session on the FDA regulations governing the company. Scheduled for the day after I start. In Santa Ana, CA. Essentially, I'd go to the office on Monday to do all the paperwork to start work, and then head for the airport. I'm not sure I'll have any time for a visit, but I thought I'd ask. The west coast warehouse is out that way, too, so odds are good that I'll be back out there at some point.

One caveat: I've had another vitreous detachment, this time in the other, good eye. I need to check with the retinologist to see if I'm allowed on an airplane. That's what triggered the retina detachment the last time. This vitreous one hasn't completely torn away the way the other one did, which probably caused a small retina tear which enlarged from the pressure changes during the flight to NYC. (sorry about the syntax of that last sentence) The doc said there weren't any retina problems so far. Appointment to check again is in about a month. No symptoms like light flashes or cloudiness from bleeding in the eye (from the vitreous fully detaching), but there really weren't any the last time, either, at least after that one fully detached. I'm taking no chances with this one. Would prefer to keep reading and driving. Not to mention seeing.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

You should get a vitrectomy as soon as possible so the vitreous moving around doesn't pull your retina apart.
