I'm sorry this has happened to your family, Kay. I know the biggest frustration is the not knowing. I'm thinking of you and your brother in law.

Big turnaround today. They capped off the trach, so he has spoken for the first time in 30 days. If he can breathe on his own for more than 12 hours, they will move him from ICU to progressive care.

Still a long way to go, but looking more optimistic.

Appreciate everyone's prayers, glares and thoughts.
