Dropped the Spocklette off at her "Exploring Engineering" camp on Saturday.
In conjunction with that I was able to get to a couple of Antiquarian bookstores in Stillwater, MN (Booktown USA).
I bought a couple of Africana books and the owner asked if I wanted to look at some premier Africana stuff that he just got in. Well, yes of course.
These are books costing several hundred dollars each.
One I have actually been looking for-but probably not for $600.
There were several that I would like-but the above one-plus a 2-volume set (for $500) are really calling my name.
Be strong-Spock-be strong.
Come into my parlor said the spider to the Spock.

In other news, I ran across the movie "Sea Wolves" about a true episode in WW2.
>>>> It tells the tale of a band of aged Boer War veterans enlisted by the British Special Operations Executive to conduct a clandestine raid on a German merchant ship transmitting intelligence to U-boats cruising the Indian Ocean.<<<<<
The second I read this-my credit card could just as well have been billed.
Aging Boer War vets-in WW2-what could be better?
