Re: Dot as rock
I love Dot. And Merv.
When reality requires approval, control replaces truth.
To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead. -Thomas Paine
You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. -Ayn Rand
Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities. -Voltaire

Thx. I do, too. Even after last night as Merv, not five seconds after scooting out the door around 10, attempted to reenter with a really, really, really healthy mouse, albeit dead, in his mouth. It was largish and not a rat, I think.tlynn78 wrote:I love Dot. And Merv.
So, before going to be I wandered over to the little old lady's front yard next to us and picked up the styrofoam bowl with cat food up and threw it away. Don't tell anyone. Yes, she leaves bowls out for critters. No, she's not demented. Yes, she's stubborn. Yes, she's been sorta told about it, like DON'T DO THIS SHIT. However, not strongly enough it appears. I'm working up how to approach her. She's the one who we called a welfare check on after four days of no sight or sound and the sheriff found her on her living room floor in her underwear, delirious, playing with her cats. Had a massive gall bladder infection, etc. requiring surgery and rehab. We took care of her two indoor cats during the month or so.
I don't want to go over and be all bitchy, but yeesh.
Well, then

We are blessed to have Samuel in our life right now. He is a 6YO yellow lab. His real name is Sam, but his nickname is Samuel.
He is my favorite dog ever and always will be-even if something happens to him today.
It is kind of sad-because I can already see that he has lost a step since last year.
His full name is (S)amuel (H)oratio (A)lbert (N)eville (E)dward J. Doe.
The first letters correspond to my youngest's first name. As much of a mouthfull as that is-it just rolls off the tongue
