GM recalling 3.2-million more cars for ignition problems

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Mon Jun 16, 2014 3:10 pm

General Motors' recalls continue Monday as the company announced it is recalling more than 3 million more older model cars for problems with the ignition. The automaker informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it was recalling the cars -- models ranging from 2000 to 2004 -- because a combination of too much weight on the key chain and a jarring event, such as hitting a pothole, could cause the ignition to rotate to the accessory position, shut off the engine and disable the power steering.

They still don't have the parts to fix mine and now they are recalling Camaros!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

My wife was upset about her Camaro being recalled until I explained they were recalling only the keys.
