The board of directors of Drexel Preparatory Academy, a three-year-old Whites Creek charter school that narrowly survived termination shortly after it opened, voted Friday to pursue revocation.
Drexel's poor performance in academic achievement, as well as dwindling enrollment that jeopardized fiscal stability, had put the school on track for possible closure by the Metro school board.
It's now set to close at the end of this week, and its 233 students will re-enter the district's selection process for next fall.
