Is it possible to over-rehearse? Our church handbell ensemble is preparing for its spring concert on the 28th. Normally we practice once a week for 90 minutes, but in the next two weeks we will be adding 3 extra rehearsals and extending our normal time by 30 minutes. What makes this worse is that I'm filling a spot with our beginning adult handbell ensemble, which is also adding extra rehearsals (they need it) and also ringing with our children's ensemble. Talk about the tintinnabulation of the bells!
On another note, another GS-12 position in our branch has been advertised. I didn't get the last one because one of the other branches had too many, so they moved someone into the slot. This time there are no extras, so I have a chance. It's a slim one, however - if it was based solely on merit I'd stand a very good chance, but it won't be.

Good luck with the go for the promotion. As long as they don't murder you just for throwing your hat in the ring; apparently they didn't do that last time.
