They are not looking for the most qualified applicant. Anyone who can use a computer can do just about any office job nowadays, and they are mostly looking for people who are a good fit for the office culture. They are also looking for people they are comfortable with overworking and underpaying. And if you are over 50 you are out of luck no matter how you perform in the interview.
