Observations March 6, 2014 - Soothsayer

This observation is copied from Observations Backlog 571:

Yet another opportunity for me to reference my favorite Shakespearean play, I recall Julius Caesar's haruspex with amazement and wonder, or, as he's known in the play, the Soothsayer.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
