What a weird week... there were exactly 22 players each day, however on no day did the same 22 players play. Each day, there were 2 players who played at least one other game who did not play that day... plasticene on Monday, jarnon on Tuesday, mntetn on Wednesday, BiT on Thursday, BobJ on Friday, and plas also missed on Thursday which was the one day Fanny played....

In the five year history of the SRA, the award has gone to a different player each year... first elwood in 2009, then Jessie in 2010, clem in 2011, vandal in 2012, and frank last year. While I wanted to continue the tradition of honoring a different player each year... at the same time I had to preserve the award's integrity and choose a worthy winner... er, make that winners!

For their efforts in going above and beyond the call of duty almost every day to be creative as well as make me laugh, the 2014 Shithouse Rats Award goes to both frank and Jessie, each getting their second taste of SRA glory! Congratulations to both of you! Sir, you may now kiss the winners!

And now for the final standings of the most anticlimactic race in LSWE history!

With the only two champions the LSWE has ever known both missing time this year, there was absolutely no stopping TBone from claiming his first ever top finish, and with the largest margin of victory ever! Elwood and Search each manage Top 10 finishes for (I believe) the first time in the LSWE. Marley comes as close as he's ever come to taking the bottom with only 3 others between him and the cellar.

Attendance overall was very good despite the shallowest pool of LSWE players ever, with only 28 cracking the scoreboard. But a good 23 of those players were regulars with a couple more playing intermittently... making for around 22-24 players every day! That is a successful contest in my book....

Thank to everyone who participated this year! I hope to be able to bring the LSWE back for an 8th season next winter!

This was my first top ten finish. I think I was 11th the last three years. This year's game was definitely harder than last year's, at least for me. I had fewer points this year but finished higher in part because of the lower participation.

But yes, it was not lost on me that, had Esto not missed a few games and/or Fanny sat out for many of them, Id have taken up residence in my customary bridesmaid's position.
