By coincidence, I just started listening to an audiobook that I downloaded last week, before seeing this episode: Craven Street: Ben Franklin in London. This was originally a radio drama, broadcast in 1993. It's quite well done, with a number of famous names among the cast.



For a number of years before the start of the Revolution, Franklin worked as an "agent" for some of the colonies to the British government. In today's terms, we'd probably call him a lobbyist.
