The Missoula County Democratic Party must be proud to have him. Maybe the people of Missoula would be better off voting for Republicans...Bob Juch wrote:Prosecutor Told Mother Of Five Year Old Rape Victim ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ - See more at: http://aattp.org/prosecutor-told-mother ... 76v6t.dpuf

It is unusual for Americans Against the Tea Party to post anything critical of a Democrat.

They seem to have done their research for this article. The facts have been widely reported, in the local Missoula newspaper and the New York Daily News among other places. They didn't identify the prosecutor as a Republican or a Tea Party member.BackInTex wrote:But not unusual for them to not do their research.TheCalvinator24 wrote:It is unusual for Americans Against the Tea Party to post anything critical of a Democrat.
Please provide me with the examples of the Americans Against the Tea Party failing to do research in enough of their articles so that you can fairly make a statement that it's "not unusual."

Here's one: Looking at their 'website' they continue to show the disgusting photo of Dale Robertson labeling him as the founder of the Texas Tea Party. (It was actually the Houston Tea party he was trying to slander). He was and is a fraud and a plant.
Go to their website and scroll down. Then read this.

Is there an "official" list of people who are affiliated with the Tea Party and those who aren't? Because it sure sounds like this guy thinks he's affiliated with the Tea Party and organizations like C-Span and the Washington Times thought he was too when they sought him out as a spokesman.flockofseagulls104 wrote: Look at their home page. According to your article, Robertson has a registered a number of Tea Party domains (I have a number of Silver Screen domains registered myself) and is in a dispute with other tea party groups. That doesn't make him any less of a tea partyer than your buddies Mourdock and Akin.
Also, admittedly the AATP's web site isn't theasiest to search, but I couldn't find any reference to Dale Robertson, especially on the home page, and when I googled it, I couldn't find any stories on their website referring to him. The stories that do refer to him say he is the founder of teaparty.org, which appears to be true since he registred the doman.

He has more in common with the Democratic party than he does with the Tea party movement. Scroll down on their website. Well, I did go to their site, and there's nothing on the front page about Dale Robertson. In fact, I was finally able to find their search function (it's not the easiest to find) and according to that, Dale Robertson isn't listed anywhere on their siteflockofseagulls104 wrote: Scroll down on their website. Since the Tea Party doesn't appear to have any official organizational structure or recognized hierarchy, you can't claim that one person or group doesn't "represent" the Tea Party because their views are different from yours. They could just as easily and just as correctly claim your views don't represent the Tea Party.

Re: Missoula County D.A. failing to prosecute rape cases
You'll have to give this one up at some point, Flock. Obviously you don't know them, but the Tea Partiers in this area are very clear about demanding more responsiveness from their federal elected officials (then shouting them down when they actually appear at Town Halls), about demanding the halt of earmarks and pork barrel projects (then screaming blue murder when their favorite projects are threatened), about less federal government control of our lives (then screaming blue murder about how government has to step in and interfere with reproductive freedom, even to extent of claiming that God must have intended it to happen when a rape results in pregnancy). These are Tea Partiers that I know, and while your claim that you don't know them is certainly true, your claim that they don't represent Tea Party positions because it is about three things only is patently false.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Look at their home page. Are we going to let parties be defined by the worst case associations? I'm fine with that as long as it goes both ways. Mind you, I don't think it reflective of any group but as long as we're trying to insult each other's party lets get it on.

If I see or hear someone spewing bigoted, hateful words at or directed towards a black person or gay person, I will tell them how offensive it is and tell them they are jerks. I am doing the same thing to SSS, because what he, and those like him are doing just as offensive. And they shouldn't be able to get away with it. I'm not trying to be difficult here because I really did want to see what you were looking at, but I'm not very Facebook-friendly and I found two Facebook pages, one labeled Americans against the Tea Party and the other "Americans against the Tea Party" (clever use of quotation marks there), and neither of them had a picture of Dale Robertson.flockofseagulls104 wrote: Oh, excuse me. I'm assuming you're correct and I just haven't been able to find this particular site or get to the right spot on the page. However, aren't most of the posts on these pages done by people who like the site and not necessarily by the site owner? If so, it's possible that the comments might have been posted by someone else, not the AATTP itself (and a number of sites have a "no censorship" policy so they don't take down political comments with which they may disagree).

Funny you should say that, because it seems that a whole bunch of people that the Tea Party does support, like Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock and Christine O'Donnell and Sharron Angle do wind up, with Tea Party support, getting the Reupblican nomination for Senate seats and then alienating enough of the general public to lose election after election.flockofseagulls104 wrote: And while you're on their facebook page, why not take a look take a look at some of the wonderful people the I Hate The Tea party attracts. Is it racist to call Sen. Tim Scott R-SC an Uncle Tom?
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
