What to Do in Denver?

Wife, son, and I will be in Denver from February 13th - 17th for Young America Grand Prix of Ballet. Son will chill and practice on Thursday, likely compete on Friday, awards Saturday night, and then has classes and an audition with Bolshoi Ballet for summer program (in Connecticut).

Likely, our only day free will be Monday (and maybe Saturday, during the day, depending on when others from our studio are competing).

So, any suggestions on what a middle school teen might find fun in Denver? We thought about a jaunt into the mountains, just because he has never been there.

Going into the mountains is a must. Other than that I defer to the locals.

I'll be there this Wed thru Fri nights.

Check the weather report. You do not want to be going into the mountains if there's any snow forecast.

Denver has very nice art museums and a science museum.
