#26 Post by Bob78164 » Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:34 am

Not happening tonight.
1. A-oh, hey you, who said that
Baby, how you been
You say you don`t know
You won`t know until you begin

2. Oh mama I've been years on the lam
And had a high price on my head
Lawman said get him dead or alive
Now it's for sure he'll see me dead

3. Well now, I get low and I get high,
and if I can't get either, I really try.
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes.
I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose.

4. You got problems
In your life of love
You got a broken heart
He's double dealing
With your best friend
That's when the teardrops start

5. He'd end up blowing all his wages for the week
All for a cuddle and a peck on the cheek.

6. Don't you get sad and lonely
You need a change from
What you do all day
Ain't no sense in all your crying
Just pick it up and throw it into shape

7. Backbeat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt

8. When we played tag in grade school
You wanted to be It.
But chasing boys was just a fad
You crossed your heart you'd quit.

9. If I get drunk yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you

10. You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You're going through all this pain and strife
Then you turn your back and they're gone so fast

11. I don't go out
Not now that you're in
Sometimes we shout
But that's no problem

12. All that I needed was you
Oh girl, you're so right
And all that I wanted was you
You made all
My dreams come true

Blanket guess: Cat Scratch Fever, Ted Nugent

I'm.... ummm, wait, I'm getting some kind of a strange feeling in my eyelids.... hold on.....

Theme? - Each band had at least two members who were brothers

Mecca Bonus: One of these songs was on the Mecca CD. What number? (1 possible point) - #9 - The Proclaimers song, from the Fall CD last year...

5 Point Bonus: What video game cartridge was included with almost every Nintendo Entertainment System console sold since it was introduced in the United States in 1985? - Super Mario Brothers... and you had to specify SUPER Mario Bros., because there was a game called just plain Mario Bros, which was actually the debut game for my favorite Nintendo character Luigi...

And just for Fanny, to expound off of her FFF....

Sorry, The Biz doesn't do modeling...
Image

There were at least three versions of the Super Mario Bros. cartridge during the almost decade long lifespan of the NES. You see the original, which Fanny posed with earlier in this thread, as well as the Super Mario/Duck Hunt combo cartridge that came with NES' packed with the Zapper gun (which was stupid, because there were like three games ever made for the damn Zapper). When NES began including it's totally stupid prehistoric Wii prototype The Power Pad along with the NES console, the included cartridge had SMB, Duck Hunt, AND the track and field game that you could play by stomping up and down on your Power Pad. Somehow, I wound up with all three versions...

JJC Points:

vandal gets a supermax for Billy Bob's pearls of wisdom he collected off Tweeter...

frank gets a JJC point for answering in pictures...

smiler gets a JJC point for The Day They Knocked Down The Pally... that's what that song should have been named! (Make that a supermax for pointing out Devo's two sets of brothers...)

Krox gets a JJC point for Elton being it...

TBone gets 2 JJC points for the Cleavers and for shopping at the supermarket that was built when they tore down The Pally...

Fanny gets a supermax for her triumphant return, loads of extra info, and of course the one and only Fanster!

Saucy gets a JJC point for sticking up for Ody...

melly gets 2 JJC points for letting Miss Denise play...

Bob gets a JJC point for a valiant yet fruitless effort...

Esto gets a JJC point for meeting the Proclaimers...

Jessie gets 2 JJC points for the Broken Bells recommendation. After falling in love with "The Ghost Inside" from the Mecca CD (HINT!HINT!HINT!) I was trying to find another song of theirs that I actually liked, and now I have one!
