RIP Ray Price

I'm glad I got a chance to see Ray Price perform live. He's a legend around these parts, at least to those old enough to remember him.

ROllingstone.com had an update to their story where Ray's son and wife say he's not dead yet, but he's presumably near death.

Fortunately, my subject line never said he was dead. I just said he's resting. Most of the internet thinks he's dead, but now the son says he jumped the gun. Strange.

They played a clip on the radio yesterday in which Mr. Price said it was all for the fans, and the fans were what made him so good. Or something like that. It was very moving.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
