Observations December 5, 2013 - Quibble

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 11:29 am

Today's observation is quoted with our thanks to SilverCamaro from a post of December 17, 2010.

I was going to quibble about whether a pearl is a "gem."

With all the quibbling we do on the Bored, I was sure I would find lots of observations to choose from, and sure enough, five pages came up when I searched on it. Many of those are duplicates in quoted posts, so it's not really five pages, but you get the idea.

SC's observation made me smile then and still does. Here's the entire post:

Never mind. I was going to quibble about whether a pearl is a "gem."

The dictionary says that I am confused. I may have to get a new dictionary that agrees with me more often.
