Observations Backlog 616 - Virga

Virga rain is very common in the Southwest in the spring and summer months, tantalizing us with its oh-so-obvious darkening of the western sky in sheets that look like they must reach the ground but somehow disappoint us day after day, until finally moisture-laden thunderstorms arrive and fulfill that promise.
