TV and movie actor best known for playing unconventional police detective Toma in a shortlived series that later became Beretta. Musante agreed to take the role on the condition he could leave the show after one season. He did (to play William Calley in a TV movie), but the producers liked the concept of the show and it was reworked later as Baretta with Robert Blake. Musante also starred in Dario Argento's cult horror film, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage.
