We now find out how much Chip won on $ale. He was the champion on the 12/13-12/16/88 shows GSN aired three times recently, but GSN didn't air the shows from 12/19-12/30/88, so they never showed the end of his championship. They will be airing the 1985 syndicated season of $ale staring in a marathon on 11/29, and then weekdays at 10AM EST starting on 12/2. Chip was also on Scrabble on the Wednesday of the last week of the original run on 3/21/90.

This is one of the few instances where we can create most of (tomorrow's) transcript for the rest of his run. All the questions have already been spoilt on the BAM website.

It's not clear how legitimate or widespread this term really is. It's just one of many whimsical cartooning terms invented by Mort Walker for his own amusement.

Celebrity play tends to bore and/or annoy me, so I was ready to leave this episode alone until Cedric announced it was Chip. I was an obsessed fan of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" for a long time, and Chip was one of the better performers. So I stayed with it, and I was glad I did!

I thought the $100k was particularly easy, and since comic strips are a wheelhouse of mine, the $250k was easy too (though not the same sort of "anyone could get this" easy I perceived in the previous question).

I sympathize and all, but couldn't they keep all the celebrity appearances in one block?

CindyBAM airs on the FOX affiliate here, so they didn't air the "Nashville" promo. I doubt they were very happy with airing a show featuring a star of that show.

Well, they didn't poll the audience to ask them how many knew that answer before Chip suggested it, but my guess is that he swayed them.

Unless the audience was filled by a cartoonists convention, that day.
