Of course, when our country was founded, the two most powerful instituions were the Crown and the Church. Big corporations did not really begin amassing power until the later parts of the 19th century (somewhat earlier in England). So, it makes sense our Constitution was drafted to give us a degree of protection against those instituions. There have been a lot of these lawsuits involving unpaid interns working in professional industries. Here's the bottom line. They are doing menial labor for free that otherwise would be done by lower end employees getting paid at least minimum wage, with overtime and benefits.
