CSLS 11/14: LB Edition

#1 Post by ShamelessWeasel » Thu Nov 14, 2013 8:10 am

Today's game comes from your LSWE mietster LB. He was kind enough to give me a game which did not fit into his format. And his theme may be one of the easier this run. Just how easy is up to you

LB will get the high score for the day

1 point for song 1 point for Artist

3 points for Theme

2 points for the bonus

Extra 2 points if you can come up with a krox (this is not as easy as you might think)

1. To my friends in New York I say hello
My friends in LA they don't know
Where I've been for the past few years or so
Paris to China to Colorado

2. One man caught on a barbed wire fence
One man he resist
One man washed on an empty beach.
One man betrayed with a kiss

3. Well, somewhere in this darkness
There's a light that I can't find
Well, maybe it's too far away
Or maybe I'm just blind

4. I felt a rush like a rolling ball of thunder
Spinning my head around
And taking my body under

5. I tried my best to feed her appetite
Keep her coming every night
So hard to keep her satisfied

6. So Cal is where my mind states
But its not my state of mind
I'm not as ugly sad as you
Or am I origami?
Folded up and just pretend
Demented as the motives in your head

7. I tried to drive
All through the night
The heat stroke ridden weather
The barren empty sights
No oasis here to see
The sand is singing
Deathless words to me

8. She's given me a new born birth
I found sweetness on this bitter Earth
She knows the things to say
To help my troubles away

9. Some of us hover when we weep
For the other who was dying
Since the day they were born

10. Communication is the
Problem to the answer
You've got her number
And your hand is on the phone

Theme

Bonus Q: On September 18, 1985, the very first Top Ten list on Late Night with David Letterman was the "Top Ten Things That Almost Rhyme With..." what?

And taking my body under

December 63 - Four Seasons

If it hadn't been for the theme, I would have put down Carry On My Wayward Son. Never before have I realized that these two songs are kind of alike...ha!

5. I tried my best to feed her appetite
Keep her coming every night
So hard to keep her satisfied

This Love - Maroon 5

6. So Cal is where my mind states
But its not my state of mind
I'm not as ugly sad as you
Or am I origami?
Folded up and just pretend
Demented as the motives in your head

Bruce Willis is Dead!!!! - Sixthe Sense Spoiler Alert

7. I tried to drive
All through the night
The heat stroke ridden weather
The barren empty sights
No oasis here to see
The sand is singing
Deathless words to me

Something by Avenged Sevenfold

8. She's given me a new born birth
I found sweetness on this bitter Earth
She knows the things to say
To help my troubles away

I can't even think of a group with eight in the title

9. Some of us hover when we weep
For the other who was dying
Since the day they were born

Just Snot Right - Naughty Ned and His Nine Nasty Nosepickers

Band Dadism!!!!!11

Problem to the answer
You've got her number
And your hand is on the phone
