Observations November 16, 2013 - Conurbation

The idea of a high-speed train linking the communities in the Denver area conurbation has been batted around for decades, and it's my guess that it's not happening until the technology improves and consequently the price tag is reduced to something less than $10 billion.

You don't know how much I wished for some BB to have made an observation with the term conurbation in context in some distant past so that I wouldn't have to come up with one myself. But then I thought of one based on some news this week, so it turned out OK.

By themselves, some of these observations are pretty boring, so when I think of something related to the selection of the observation, I'll add it.

Conurbation was actually used by Marley in a post, but it was simply to list it as a spelling word from the Scripps-Howard spelling bee, so I didn't quote it.

And I only mentioned that because the word appeared in Google's Hot Trends list, which I probably haven't checked since the time of that post.
