Observations Backlog 599 - Hendiadys

The hendiadys I use all the time omits the connecting "and," which technically I guess is required to call it "hendiadys," but I think the alliteration of "cozy comfy" more than makes up for a minuscule missing conjunction.

I often skip a word I saved in the backlog if it's too obscure or archaic, and I thought about skipping this one. But the opportunity to consider myself in company with Willy the Shake was too tempting to resist: "William Shakespeare often used hendiadys. For example, his character Macbeth, speaking of the passage of life, says 'It is a tale / Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, / Signifying nothing.' "
