This sounds like a joke to me.

Play along as if she's a woman and a potential new friend. Maybe say something like --

Invite her to lunch, maybe ask her if she'd like to help out with a kid project you have going if she's a crafty-type person. ___Brother's Name__ says how your plate is so full -- get some help!

This will remind her that Sis is looking in and that such jokes are juvenile and in very poor taste.

It's probably a game. My 50-year-old cousin posted the other day that she wanted another baby. When I commented that I thought someone hacked her account, she sent me a message saying that I shouldn't have liked or commented on her post because now I had to post one of about ten statuses on my Facebook wall. I think one of those was "I think I like someone, what should I do?"
I declined to play and never did post one of those statements. Of course, one of those was something about forgetting to wear underwear. I guess I could wait until a day where I have several art classes lined up and then post that one. That would, at least, be true...

Even when posted to a small circle of someone's friends. I guess if they're all actually friends, they'd all find that kind of junk funny?

However, Facebook is "the whole world is watching" time. I have stuff I keep detaching myself from on Facebook, not that I wasn't proud to be there (demonstrations) but the whole world *is* watching. Despite how you've set your settings; Facebook keeps undoing them.

I know someone who actually did break up because their lover posted about lover's new "connection" on Facebook. Creepy, & not too bright, either. And very hurtful. And STD tests followed for the person I know.

I do like most of Facebook. I have family in England and Hawaii not to mention many other states. I can keep in touch with those I want to and can not friend anyone I don't want to keep in touch with. There are quite a few BBs over there that don't come here much anymore.

But it is stupid to post something like she did and then go MIA for a day.
