March 17 QoD -- "Once You Go Black..."

#1 Post by NellyLunatic1980 » Mon Mar 17, 2008 3:45 am

Rules: viewtopic.php?p=40443#40443

Welcome to Week 3 of this month's QoD. We're putting the points up once again! Each correct answer is worth 3 points, with each correct bonus answer worth 15 points.

I was a student at two different universities. One of them was Kentucky State University, located right here in Frankfort. K-State is an HBCU (historically Black college/university). My twin sons are only 6 years old and are way too young for me to think about sending them to college right now, but let’s say for the purpose of today’s category that I want to send them to an HBCU. Below is a list of American colleges and universities. Which of these would I consider sending my sons to? You must answer “Yes” or “No” if they are or are not historically Black colleges and universities.

Answers are due by Tuesday at 5 PM Eastern.

1. Jackson State University in Jackson, MS
2. Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL
3. LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN
4. North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC
5. South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC
6. Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA

12. Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR
13. Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD
14. Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA
15. Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL

Xavier University in New Orleans, LA (not the one in Cincinnati)
