Did he give it that name as a way of calling it loyal (in Latin)? --Bob

I forget if Cedric mentioned the derivation, but I don't think he did. Gun to my head, forced to guess, I would have gone with Fido - it's Latin, seems erudite, and lawyers like Lincoln like Latin. I would have jumped the Pepsi/dextrin question and the $100K Polish question and burned my ATA out of courtesy here if I were to walk. These stacks are getting easier, or they're showing their "best" shows first, or I really need to think about auditioning.
Buddy was Clinton's dog, and I'm sure "Clinton's new dog (is named after/has the same name as) Lincoln's dog" would have been all over the news had it been the same name, so I'd semi-confidently eliminate that. I think of early-1900s gangsters when I hear Buster, which is after Lincoln's time.
I hope I would have had the guts to go for it. The math supports it. $61K safe in my bank versus a 25% chance at $250K is a mathematically good gamble, even with no $25K consolation....but I'd forgive myself for chickening out. I'd definitely have flipped a coin twice before the show to "pre-select" a random answer if I had no idea...I don't know if I'd go with my gut answer or my random answer here.

If I were playing Jennifer's stack, I'd still have an ATA left. My hunch was Fido, but I'd have used the ATA anyway.
